Did you know

Between 1,400 and 1,500 pastors in the United States
are being forced out of their ministry each month, and that 23% of all pastors
experience a forced resignation at some time in their ministry?
Pastor-In-Residence (PIR) is a
ministry designed especially for pastors who find themselves in this
transitional point in life. The mission of the Pastor-In-Residence ministry is
to encourage and support pastors in the vocational transitions of their lives,
providing them with spiritual and emotional support, and networking them with
churches and other ministries which provide opportunities to process
unresolved personal conflict for possible re-entry into fulltime service.
Rev. Mark M. Marxhausen, pastor of
New Vision in the WORD Int'l in Rosemount, MN, is the Executive Director of
Pastor-In-Residence. If you would like to know more about PIR, know of an
exited pastor who needs help, or you are a pastor who has been forced out of
ministry, you may contact Mark at 952-431-9007, or e-mail him at
Jeremiah33v3@visi.com
Mark Marxhausen is also a
member of Lutheran Renewal's Renewal Advisory Team. He and his wife, Julie,
live in Rosemount, MN with their four children.
