Renewal in Finland

In April-May 2004 a team of four traveled to Finland to visit the leaders of what has been called "The Nokia Revival." Paul and Karen Anderson met Pastor Markku Koivisto, the leader of this renewal movement, when they traveled to Finland and Latvia in October 2003. When Markku heard Paul speak about LR, ARC and MI, he said, "This is an historic moment." Since their first meeting, both Markku and his associate, Timo Aro-Heinila have visited our ministries. On June 8, 2004 the MI Board voted to receive them officially as an MI school. They plan to launch their seminary in the middle of August, the first of what we believe will be many MIs around the country and around the world.

Mike Bradley, MI Executive Director, along with Dan Siemens, will visit them in late September 2004 to teach in their school and to assist them in the development of their infra-structure. They will also make a stop in Iceland to pursue a deepening LR connection and speak about the ARC and MI. Paul will visit the same locations in late October on a trip through Scandinavia and Latvia. God is faithfully opening up strategic relationships for LR, MI, and the ARC! These are exciting days!
