| The Master's Institute (MI)
is a Christian Leadership School and alternative Seminary located in St.
Paul, Minnesota. MI was founded in 2001 by Lutheran Renewal under the
leadership of Paul Anderson, Director. It has since reorganized as a
separate ministry. MI has two programs:
a 3-year Seminary program designed to equip men and women for vocational
ministry (awarding a Masters of Divinity degree) and a one year School of
Ministry program designed to equip members of congregations in leadership
and ministry skills. Both tracks provide three essential aspects of
learning: Spiritual and Character Formation, Biblical Teaching, and
Leadership Training.
The Master's Institute combines solid
academic work with training in ministry skills and the development of
character. MI focuses on learning that creates dependence, not independence,
and that builds character, not just content. Each student who attends the
Seminary and School of Ministry programs have a mentor, and the Seminary
students learn by working alongside of a proven Christian leader, serving 15
hours a week in an intern setting all three years they participate in the
program.
Our goal? That our students learn to think
biblically, live godly, and serve humbly.
